Jill Leauber Marsteller ’78, P’18 roars because
“Ursinus is the best liberal arts college ever!”

What makes Ursinus the best? For President Marsteller, it’s the relationships. She cites the student-faculty experience as the very hallmark of the college. That impact, Marsteller says, is significant.

“It's like a pebble in the water that extends everywhere,” she says. Ursinus grads have gone on to pioneer techniques in science, lead legislation in government, create works of art to last generations, and much, much more. Marsteller takes pride in the college’s deep impact upon students, who then move on and improve the world.

Marsteller attributes this propensity for fostering earth-shaking innovators to our college-wide love of deep inquiry. An Ursinus education wouldn’t be so uniquely impactful without the college’s longstanding commitment to the liberal arts and life’s important questions.

How did Ursinus become the best? “It's got a 152-year-old liberal arts history,” says Marsteller, “grounded in CIE and four questions that alters people's lives for the better.”

More than that, Marsteller says, it’s the donors. An Ursinus education wouldn’t be possible without the generous gifts of our alumni and friends. “I especially want to thank all of you donors who have changed young lives that will then impact the world,” she says.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we’re grateful.”
